This memorable blend combines Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Nebbiolo, Mourvédre and Barbera into a wine that emerges far greater than the sum of its parts. The name is a symbolic expression of the connection between the Old and New Worlds of viticulture, with the African elephant famously carrying the Carthaginian general Hannibal on his invasion of Italy.
