While the traditional thatch and deep terrace are distinctive elements of vernacular Cape architecture, the clean lines and pitched roof of the cellar complex reflect our thoroughly modern approach to crafting world-class wines. As a boutique cellar, Bouchard Finlayson produces around 32 000 cases of wine per year. Our focus is on crafting exceptional New World expressions of Pinot Noir, alongside terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, while our red and white blends speak to the versatility and talent of the winemaking team led by Chris Albrecht.
Key to that experimentation is more sustainable cellar practices, and thanks to the use of modern fining and settling agents the majority of Bouchard Finlayson wines are now 100% vegan-friendly.
