Bouchard Finlayson Winery,
Hemel-en-Aarde valley, Hermanus, South Africa

Near the southernmost point of Africa lies a valley named Hemel-en-Aarde (Dutch for ‘Heaven and Earth’) framed by mountains and facing the cool Atlantic ocean, with a frost free, Mediterranean climate and the most perfect clay shale vineyard soils...

In this heavenly valley, the boutique winery Bouchard Finlayson is dedicated to the making of Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc wines of outstanding quality.

The 160-hectare (395 acre) property was established in 1989 and is located in the wine ward of Walker Bay, an hour and a half from Cape Town. Just 19 hectares (47 acres) are under vines; the rest is mountain land and a botanical reserve for the spectacular indigenous ‘fynbos’ flora of the Western Cape.

Our wines often sell out quickly. Vintages currently available are:

• 2009 Tête de Cuvée Galpin Peak Pinot Noir
• 2010 Galpin Peak Pinot Noir
• 2008 Hannibal
• 2010 Hannibal
• 2010 Kaaimansgat Limited Edition Chardonnay
• 2010 Missionvale Chardonnay
• 2010 Crocodile’s Lair/“Kaaimansgat” Chardonnay
• 2010 Sans Barrique Chardonnay
• 2010 Sauvignon Blanc 'Reserve'
