This is Bouchard Finlayson's fifteenth vintage edition of Sans Barrique Chardonnay.

Chardonnay is an extremely versatile grape and un-wooded Chardonnay is norarity to the world of Chardonnay.  The factor of wooding or not wooding canmake a huge difference to its flavour and aroma.  In many instances theun-wooded version of the variety is a better accompaniment to fish and shell fish than the wooded version.

These grapes originate from the tall mountains behind the village ofVilliersdorp.  Conditions through the 2010/2011 growing season were drywhich presented a small harvest of concentrated fruit.  

The wine is best described as marginally organic with citrus and kiwi fruitflavours - Flinty and dry with intensity of finish after loads of strongmineral flavours.
